Obituary of Ronald K. Speer, Jr.

RONALD  K.  SPEER, JR.

Kingsport-  Ronald K. Speer, Jr., of Kingsport, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, November 18, 2018 as the result of a car accident.  Ronald was an employee of CITI Group and loved the people he worked with at CITI.  He was an avid antique person and animal lover who always took in strays and unloved dogs and cats.  Mr. Speer was a member of Oakwood Forest Christian Church where he taught Sunday School and played the piano. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Miller Speer; his father, Ronald “Kelly” Speer; a brother, Marvin “Mike” Speer.

Ronald Speer is survived by his aunts, Bettie Bammick and Goldie Speer; a uncle, Rodney Miller and wife, Linda along with several cousins and countless dear friends that he adored.

Ronald K. Speer, Jr. wishes were to be cremated with a celebration of life service to held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at his beloved church, Oakwood Forest Christian Church in Kingsport.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Oakwood Forest Christian Church,  1713 E Sevier Ave, Kingsport, TN 37664 or to your local animal shelter.  You can send an online condolence to the family by visiting www.cartertrent.com.  Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Speer family.
