Obituary of Billy Keith Charlton

Kingsport - Billy “Wild Bill” Charlton, 79, of Kingsport, left this world to be with the Lord at 4:03 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Billy was loved by many and had several lifelong friends. He was always smiling and full of laughter. Billy was a US Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dana and Betsy Charlton; son, Eric Charlton; sisters, Ilene Davis, Jean Phillips, Faye McClain; brother, Kenneth Charlton; wife, Carol Lucas Charlton.

He is survived by his two sons, Barry Charlton and Gary Charlton; sisters, Freda Bailey, and Elizabeth Cooter; special grandson, Cody Charlton; brother in Law, Bob Phillips; along with several grandchildren  great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Wexford House, and to his niece, Betsy Linkous for caring for him with love and compassion.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Chimney Top Cemetery, Greene County, for a celebration of his life at 1 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Friends may also call anytime at the home of Elizabeth Cooter.
