Obituary of Stanley Snapp

Ralph Stanley Snapp, age 68, of Church Hill, went home to be in the arms of Jesus, on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home while surrounded by his family. He was a Veteran of the United States Military having proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also a retiree of Eastman Chemical Company with 33+ years of service in the Polymers Division. Stanley enjoyed farming, hunting and traveling. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna Snapp.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Delta Snapp; son, Mark Snapp and wife, Cyndi; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Turnmire and wife, Whitney, Hailey Qualls and husband, Brandon, Clay Snapp, Natalie Snapp, Marley Snapp and Callie Snapp; 2 sisters, Kay Davis and Brenda Wallen and husband, Bob; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank special caregiver whom Stanley loved dearly, Melissa Hicks, and hospice nurse, Ashley Skeens, for their love and support for Stanley during his declining health.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Wayne McCarty and Mike Ford officiating. Military Graveside Service will be held at 10:45 am on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. All those wishing to go in procession to the service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 am.
