Obituary of Vonda June Vaughn

Vonda June Vaughn, 77, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her residence.

Vonda was born on June 13, 1941 to the late Kermel Miller and Vonda Mae Bolling Miller in Glamorgan, Virginia a small coal mining community in Wise County, Virginia.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Anthony Vaughn; and sister, Glenna Hill.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Fred Allen Vaughn, of the home; daughter, Darlene Baker (Timothy) of Jonesville, VA; son, Jeffrey Vaughn (Angie) of Randelman, NC; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; daughter in-law, Jennifer Vaughn; sisters, Nancy Bevins (Hubert) and Judy Frazier (Edward): brothers, Ronnie Miller (Ollie) and Dennis Miller (Nancy); along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Friday, January 18, 2018 at 1 pm with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Carter Trent Funeral Home at 12:15 pm to go in procession.
