Obituary of Dave T. Raleigh

Dave T. Raleigh 75, of Kingsport passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the VA Medical Center. Dave served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He had a lifelong love for cars and had his own shop for many years. Dave was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed spending time with his dog Max and cat Katie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Raleigh; mother, Mable Raleigh; brother, Tommy Raleigh; sister, Shirley Raleigh Blankenship; brother-in-law, Hank Blankenship.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Raleigh; son, Travis Raleigh and wife Tonya; daughter, Leslie Raleigh Thompson and husband Chris; granddaughter, Arianah “Sis” Smith; special great-nephew, Austin Duncan; brother, Jay Raleigh and wife Sue; sister-in-law, Lois Howard Raleigh; best friends, Mark Dunn and Chip White; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A military graveside will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with services conducted by American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
