Obituary of Wesley Blaine Sandidge

Wesley Blaine Sandidge, 52, of Hiltons, VA went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

 

Wes was born on February 8, 1967 the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Gate City High School. He then graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

 

Wes was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walker and Alice Sandidge, and Emmett and Opal Allen.  Wes is survived by his wife, Sherri Gardner; son, Keegan Sandidge; step-daughter, Arianna Hernandez: parents, Bill and Doris Sandidge; sister/brother-in-law, Sherre and Eddie Sloan; brothers/sisters-in-law, Chris and Pat Sandidge, Bill and Gina Sandidge; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. 

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Scott County Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow with Pastor Todd Haley and Pastor Will Shewey officiating. Graveside service will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 AM. Pallbearers will be Bill Sandidge, Chad Sloan, Matt Sloan, Duffie Cox, David Allen, Robert Ratliff, Bill Fuller, and friends with honorary pallbearers Chris Sandidge, Eddie Sloan, Mark Allen, Darrell Gardner, Hal Gardner, and Lynn Herron. Friends are welcome to visit at Bill and Doris’s home at any time.

 

The family is requesting donations in Wes’s name to the Scott County Humane Society or Shades of Grace, A United Methodist Congregation in Kingsport TN in lieu of flowers.
