Robert Taylor

Nickelsville-Robert Jack Taylor, 73, of Nickelsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, May 9, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County. He was owner and operator of Roberts Auto Repair for over 40 years where he enjoyed serving the Scott County community. Robert loved to spend time outdoors and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Jeanette Taylor; his son, Michael Taylor; his parents, Leonard and Cleo Taylor and a sister, Mary Jane Taylor Hensley.

Surviving are his son, Steven Taylor and wife Miranda; his grandchildren, Emma Grace and Abram James Taylor; his brothers, Jimmy (Bo) Taylor and Leonard (Bugs) Taylor and wife Lynne along with several nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes out to his caregiver, Tonia Phillips and her parents, Otis and Sue Miles for the special care given to Robert during his time of need.

A visitation will take place from 6pm until 7pm on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home or friends may also call anytime at the residence of his brother, Jimmy Taylor. A funeral service will follow the visitation on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Donnie Archer officiating. Music will be provided by Roger Easterling along with David and Debbie Easterling. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2pm at Holston View Cemetery with Gary Gibson, Willie Meade, Sr., Willie Meade, Jr., Clayton Steffey, Lorenzo Leon Vega and Stuart Hale serving as pallbearers.
