Obituary of Johnny Mack Griffin

Johnny Mack Griffin, 67, of Jonesborough went to be with the Lord on Monday May 13, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Johnny was born on July 23, 1951 in Greene County, Tennessee to the late Claude and Ruby Griffin. He achieved his certification as an LPN and earned positions in the ICU, night shift supervisor, and executive director. Working at many hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the area.  Johnny made everyone around him love him, laugh, and enjoy seeing him.

In addition to his parents Johnny is preceded in death by his brothers, Ken Griffin and Fay Griffin; and step daughter, Karen Phillips Evans.

Those left to cherish his memory are his special friend, Kenneth Phillips; sister, Dorothy Mercer and husband Lynn; brother, Ray Griffin and wife Barbara; step daughter, Kimberly Phillips Morton; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Shades of Grace, A United Methodist Congregation, 313 E Sullivan Street, Kingsport, TN 37660, with Pastor Will Shewey officiating.
