Obituary of Mildred Faye Necessary
Kingsport- Mildred Faye Necessary, 71, of Kingsport, went home to be with Jesus on Monday night (May 13, 2019) at her home following a lengthy illness. She had lived her entire life in this area. Faye was a devoted and loving mother who enjoyed working at Mama’s House and especially loved to be with her grandchildren. She was of the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Necessary; 2 grandsons, Jacob Necessary and Samuel Mendenhall; a great-granddaughter, Alidiah; parents, Freeman and Reble Drinnon; her brother, Alfred Drinnon; daughter-in-law, Brenda Necessary.
Faye Necessary is survived by her 3 daughters, Debbie Mendenhall, Tammy Knowles, and Kristina Bear; 4 sons, Tracy Necessary, James Necessary, Robert Necessary, and Chris Necessary; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Joyce Hutson and Mavis Robinson; her brother, Casey Drinnon; special friends, Lindsey Jessee, Ron Derrick, and Ethel Bowlin along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday (May 17, 2019) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at her home. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday (May 17, 2019) at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Johnny Persinger and Brother Arthur Franklin, officiating. Music will be provided by Dianne Necessary and Teresa Waycaster. A graveside service will follow the funeral on Friday (May 17, 2019) at Church Hill Memory Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. A special thank you goes out to Amedisys Hospice for the special care given to Faye during her illness.
