Obituary of Timothy John Starnes

Gate City – Timothy “Timmy John” Starnes, 47 of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was an electrician.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Starnes.

Tim is survived by his son and the apple of his eye whom he loved dearly, Logan Starnes; mother, Loretta Starnes; sister, Carol Starnes Lane; brother, David Starnes and wife Rosa; special nephews, David Starnes, Jr. and Derek Starnes; special nieces, Charity Akers and MaShara Akers.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Saturday at High Knob. The family asked that his special family and friends who would like to attend the service meet at Gate City High School at 2 p.m. on Saturday, to drive up to High Knob together.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Virginia Bellamy for all her love shown to Tim during his illness to the very end. Also, special thanks to the staff at Holston Valley Medical Center for their kindness and all of his friends who showed their love and came by the hospital to visit him.
