Obituary of Irene Ward

Irene Ward 70, of Rogersville went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2019. Irene lived in the Grassy Creek area her entire life and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ward; parents, Jack and Vada Ward; brother, Dennis Ward; sisters, Pauline Moore and Gladys Fields.

Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Feagins and husband Jeff, Britney Benton and fiancé, Tony Spitzer; grandchildren, Jackson and Angel Spitzer; sister, Lola Derrick; brother, Ray Ward; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh and Pastor Dave Morelock officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Yankee Family Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15pm to go in procession.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Carter-Trent Funeral Home to defer expenses.
