Obituary of Una Lewis Warfield

Gordon, KY – Una Lewis Warfield, age 95, formerly of Pine Mountain, KY, went to be with the Lord on 8/6/2019 in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Born in Incline, Kentucky (Pine Mountain) in 1923, she moved to Michigan then returned to Kentucky in 1978, then to Kingsport, TN in 1984. Una was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver R. Warfield; her daughter, Janet Raney; her parents, Gilbert and Arwillie Creech Lewis; a sister, Eva Lewis Warfield; brothers Herbert Lewis, Owen Lewis, Omer Lewis, Elmer Lewis, Paul D. Lewis.

Survivors include her three granddaughters; Christine Elizabeth Shefferly & husband David Shefferly, Patricia Anne Rutkey and husband Steve Rutkey, and Jessica Renee Gregory; five great -grandchildren (Katrina, Benjamin, Joey, Anna, and Riley); and her brother, Arnold Lewis of Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with a representative from Indian Springs Baptist Church (Glenwood Campus) officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Loyall, Kentucky. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
