Obituary of Allen Ray Asbury

Allen Ray Asbury 64, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord and his loving wife Deborah Asbury on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was an avid fisherman and loved to outside working in the yard or on his bike. Allen was known for his work ethic and being a devoted husband, father, and brother. He was also known for keeping all the neighborhood cats feed.

Survivors include his son, Matthew Asbury; grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Asbury; step-son, Robert Sands; sister-in-law, Betty Shupe; brothers-in-law, William Marshall and Lewis Marshall; sisters, Violet Lunsford, Sue Tate, and Janice Darnell; loyal companions, Tigger, Peanut, and Mittens.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, October 11, 2019 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Preston Patrick officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
