Obituary of Kelly Carroll Easterling

Kelly Carroll Easterling, age 79, passed away on November 23, 2019 from complications of COPD in the loving care of his sister, Rena Buonaccorsi and Amedisys Hospice care.


Kelly was born in Scott County, Virginia on March 5, 1940, to the late Virgil and Phyllis Easterling. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for years at the Kingsport Press and built many houses in the Kingsport and Virginia areas. He loved hunting, fishing, and cars and building homes and fixing everything that he touched.


Kelly is survived by his daughter, Debbie Easterling Hendricks and her husband, Troy; his grandchildren, Jordan and Andrew Hendricks; his son, Richard Easterling and his wife Polly; his sister Rena and her husband Paul Buonaccors; his brothers, Fred Easterling, Johnny Easterling, Andrew Easterling and his wife Jennifer; and many loving and special nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home. A military graveside service will follow at Addington Frame Cemetery in Nickelsville, VA with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 providing funeral honors.


The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and especially to his sister Rena Buonaccorsi and her husband Paul for their generosity, kindness, care and compassion shown through this difficult time. He will be greatly missed.
