Obituary of Chris Smith

Kingsport- Chris Smith born January 24, 1967 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Johnson City Medical Center. Chris was a juvenile diabetic since 6 years of age. He had multiple complications but had a wonderful outlook on life. He was never down and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. His friends are too numerous to mention but just know he loved all of you!

Chris is survived by his parents, Lynn Smith and Norma Smith; brother, Chad Smith and wife Gina of Charlotte, NC; aunt, Betty Lamb; uncle, Earl Keith; special sister, Jeanine Stigall and numerous close family members; his dogs, Abby, Sadie and Lady.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm January 29, 2020 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Scott Young, Rev. Brian Schular, and Rev. Richard Harris officiating. Music will be provided by Wayne and Karen Fortner.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingsport Animal Shelter at 2141 Idle Hour Rd. Kingsport, TN 37660.
