Obituary of Helen Lucille Stacy
HELEN LUCILLE STACY
Kingsport- Helen Lucille Darnell Stacy, 91, of Kingsport, joined her sweetheart of 71 years along with her Lord and Savior in the early hours of Wednesday (February 5, 2020). Helen was born in Fairview, Virginia and had resided in Kingsport most of her life. She was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church where she truly loved being with her church family and friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Willie E. Stacy; parents, Rod and Madge Darnell; a brother, Jack Darnell; her nephew, Roddy Darnell.
Those to cherish her memory are a son, Benny D. Stacy and wife, Bonnie; her daughter, Sue Arnold and husband, Rick; her grandchildren, Rocky Stacy, Jason Stacy, Gwen Arnold, and Crissy Arnold; Great Grandchildren, Roxanne Stacy, Colt Stacy, Ricky Smith, and Brittany Smith along with Pastor Robert Fletcher who was considered a special part of the family. A special thank you goes out to Danny Elliott for his Saturday visits and true friendship along with Good Shepherd Baptist Church for the prayers and support. A thank you also goes out to Mac Starnes for the phone calls and prayers.
A visitation will be held on Saturday (February 8, 2020) from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Good Shepherd Baptist Church or friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday (February 8, 2020) at 12 noon at Good Shepherd Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Fletcher, officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral on Saturday (February 8, 2020) at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Baptist Church or to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
