Obituary of Charlotte Darnell Quillen

Charlotte Darnell Quillen 83, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family after a brief battle with ALS. Charlotte worked at Eastman Chemical Company for 7 years before becoming a homemaker to care for her family. She was a member of West End Baptist Church for 12 years and later attended State Line Baptist and Higher Ground Baptist Church. Charlotte was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie H. and Nell Darnell.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherrie Quillen; sisters, Peggy Adams and husband Walter, and Betty Lamb; brother, Charlie Darnell and wife Freda; aunt, Joann Templeton; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Holston View Cemetery with David Roller officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50pm.
