To Greg family we give our deepest condolences. Greg was such a good man and he will be missed. He was our mechanic since 2008 when we moved here. He always made us feel welcome and right at home. God bless you Greg, with all our love. Bob and Mona

Greg lived beside our family from when we moved onto grand view dr in 1965 till 1989. Worked on our cars for years. Were very fortunate to have called Greg our friend, neighbor, mechanic. But most of all a true friend and great man. Rest in peace Greg. You will be sorely missed. Linda. Denise, Todd.

My husband has lived in Bloomingdale most of his life literally just up the street from Greg’s shop and when we got married 3/2007 we moved next door to his parents and have brought our vehicles to him throughout the years. Last year I went to have my oil changed at the dealership where I bought my car in which they told me I needed numerous things fixed on my car. I was in shock and overwhelmed at the amount of the cost! I told my husband I was taking it to Greg and did just that! They raised it up and he said all you need is two back tires. I said really?? He gave me the number of a shop up the street where I had two tires ordered and put on the same day. I have 20” rims on my Ford Fusion and was able to get 2 brand new tires from the place he recommended for $200 even. I was very happy to say the least! My husbands Jeep Compass needed new brakes, oil change, rotors and a wheel bearing fixed just about a month ago. We of course took it to Greg and he had everything done within one day. When I came inside he had some issues with his printer. I asked if he could use a new one? He laughed and said yes that’s for sure! I told him I had a brand new one if he would like it? He looked at me and said really? I said yes...we already have one and to be honest we don’t need it, I could bring it to you on my next day off on Saturday if that’s ok? He said well I sure would appreciate it! I was cleaning that day, happened to think about it so I gave him a call a little after 1:00pm that day and felt bad because he was laying down taking a nap. I apologized to him for waking him up...he said oh no it’s ok I’m getting ready to head to the shop now to finish a van. I pulled in and he walked out there. When I opened my trunk he said oh wow!!! That’s so nice!! I handed it to him, he said let me pay you. I said no I want you to have it. We appreciate all your help working on our vehicles throughout the years...I hope you enjoy it! When you have thoughts like that..random acts of kindness that pop in your head, you should never hesitate! We didn’t have the pleasure to call him a close friend or a family member but what we did know from the many years of his business was he was a good, honest man and he will most certainly be missed! I’m so very sorry for your all’s loss. I’m sorry this is a long post but felt the need to share how he touched so many lives. I will be praying for the friends and family of Greg’s.

Greg was not only the Best Mechanic, but he made each person who came to his shop feel like he cared...because he did care. Greg and Abby became friends just by me going to their shop, because that is the kind of people they are. RIP GREG, you made the final lap and victory is yours! Abby and family, my deepest condolences and prayers for comfort of heart. Greg will be truly missed by many!
