Obituary of Mildred Cox-Miller

Church Hill – Mildred Spears Cox-Miller, 93 of Church Hill Healthcare Center, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2020 following a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William E. “Willie” Cox, Jr.; her second husband, Don Miller; son, Gerald Cox; sister, Kathryn Wagner; brother, Harold Spears.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Joyce Mays; grandchildren, Michael Mays and wife Wendy, Matthew Mays and wife Crystal; great-grandchildren, Alex (Kara), Austin, Andrew (Sydney), Cody (Mersiha), and Bailey Mays; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Scott County Funeral Home.

A graveside will follow at 2 pm Sunday at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Price officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Church Hill Healthcare Center, as well as, Dr. Mark Jenkins for their kindness and care of Mildred during her stay their.
