Obituary of Charles "Bud" William Myers

Charles “Bud” William Myers 82, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Bud was born on May 8, 1938 in Sullivan County, TN to the late Paul Myers and Mary Ellen Huffman. Bud was an avid fisherman and loved to walleye fish with his brother Don.

Bud is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Myers; father, Paul Myers; mother, Mary Ellen Qualls; step father, Bill Qualls; sister, Shirley Myers Hendricks; and brother, Lester Qualls.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Brian Myers; granddaughter, Erica Myers; great granddaughter, Makenlei Erwin; son, Eric Sowder; sisters, Edna Whitehurst and Sharon Read; brother, Don Qualls; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Mike Owens officiating.

A graveside will follow the funeral service at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, VA with Pastor Mike Owens officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
