Obituary of Kathy "Sue" Carrico

Kathy “Sue” Carrico, 64, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going dancing. Sue also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She attended the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ in Gate City. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clalie Carico; the love of her life, George “Bo” Thompson; brothers, Bobby Carrico and Curtis “Wimpy” Carrico; sister, Ruby “Sis” Pugh.

Survivors include her son, Lynn Martin and wife Lori; daughter, Clalie Sanchez and husband Eric; grandchildren, Adan Sanchez, Jazmin Sanchez, and Eury Estrada; great- grandchildren, Dustin, Michael, Julie, Aleyda, Abby, and Ashton “Sexy”; brothers, Roy “Bill” Carrico, Bruce “Poogie” Carrico; sister, Mildred “Duke” Kaywood and husband David; special niece, Diane Dockery; special cousin who was like a sister, Peggy Ramey; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Tony Hobbs officiating.

A graveside service will follow at Gardner’s Chapel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Carrico family.
