Obituary of Robert Leonard Harmon

Robert “Rabb” Leonard Harmon

Bluff City-  Robert Leonard Harmon “Rabb”, a lifelong resident of Bluff City, Tenn., went to join his wife of 60 years in Heaven in the early morning hours on August 4, 2018.  He enjoyed Tennessee Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball but he especially loved his friends and family.  He loved being Papa to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  His door was always open and his friends and family knew they were always welcome.  He once stated, “If you have one real friend in your life, you are lucky…and I may be the luckiest man on earth!”

Rabb was born on September 16, 1935, son of the late Guy Leonard and Delores Harmon.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, 5 short months ago, Sybil Ann Argo Harmon; Brothers, Darrell Harmon and Gary Harmon; Sisters Mary “Polly” Harmon Bullock and Pamella Harmon.  He is survived by his brother, David Harmon; sons, Shaun Harmon and girlfriend, Laurie Mann, and Tadd Harmon and wife, Tammy; daughters, Kim Boyer and husband, Matthew, Kara Casey and husband, Lynn, and Angie Weaver Morrison; grandchildren, Tyler, “Goose” Harmon and wife Megan, Taylor Harmon and wife, Summer, Rabecca Harington and husband, Ray, Abby Worthington and husband, Adam, Cody Casey, Cole Casey, Candy Monk and husband, Scott, Preston Morrison, Drew Morrison; great-grandchildren, JT Harmon, Nelson Harmon, Chloe Casey, Rex Harrington, Ayla Worthington, Kaitlynn Monk, and Micah Monk; and several nieces and nephews.

He will be cremated, as those were his wishes.  The family will honor the memory of both Rabb and Sybil with a Celebration of Life Reception at First Christian Church, Bluff City, on Saturday, August 11, from 3:00 – 5:00.
