Obituary of Allen W. Blankenbeckler

Allen Wayne “Stubby” Blankenbeckler, 58, of Mt Carmel, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Monday, September 16, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

 

 Allen was a loving Son, Husband, Dad, Papaw and friend. He was born October 28, 1960 in Kingsport, Tennessee and was a 1979 graduate of Lynn View High School where he played football. Allen received Christ as his Savior at an early age while attending State Line Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for many years, most recently with his own company, Glory Bound Express. Allen was an avid fisherman whose favorite pastime was to fish in the Springtime at Fontana Lake for Walleye. He could light up a room with his smile and always thought of others before himself.

 

Allen was preceded in death by his Father; Massie Blankenbeckler, his maternal grandparents, Glen and Patsy Kilgore, and his paternal Grandparents George and Mae Blankenbeckler.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of nineteen years, Cathy Larkey Blankenbeckler; his loving Mother, Glenna Kilgore Carter and Step-Father Norman:, daughters, Deena Durham (Jeff Spears) and Candice (Josh) Bellamy; Son, Jeremiah Houston: Step-Sister, Lisa (Tom) Blalock, Step-Brothers,  Trent (Barbara) Carter and Mike (Virginia) Carter; Mother-in Law, Barbara Larkey; Brother-in-Law, Jerry (Patsy) Larkey; grandchildren, Christian Bishop, Alexis Bellamy, Kaylee Rohloff, Coleton Bellamy and Azalea: great-grandchildren Bentley and Jace, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.

 

The family of Allen Blankenbeckler will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, September 20, 2019, in the Carter Trent Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Reverend Otis Hill officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, in the Holston View Cemetery in Weber City. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Webb, Falon Fletcher, Bill Easterling, Jonathan Blankenbecler, Josh Bellamy and Coleton Bellamy. Honorary pallbearers will be Carolyn Tuck, Janet Blankenbecler, Trish Weaver, Debbie Barker, Donna Kinsler, Brian Hillman, Christian Bishop, Alexis Bellamy and Kaylee Rohloff. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM Saturday.

 

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
