Obituary of Pauline Catherine Mullins

Pauline Catherine Mullins 74, of Hiltons went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Pauline was a nurse’s aid at Holston Valley Medical Center for many years prior to being a store manager for Pilot Oil in Weber City. She loved to cook and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Sims; sister, Virginia Barker; brothers, Buddy and Johnny Sims.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Johnny Mullins; son, Roger Mullins and wife Sheila; granddaughters, Crystal Peters and husband Cody, and Kayla McMurray and boyfriend Jamie Tipton; grandson, Matthew Mullins; great-grandchildren, Zane and Nolan Dingus, and Cayson Peters; sisters, Jean Osborne and husband Bill, Marie Winkle, Kay Jackson and husband Rev. Nathan, Janie Rogers and husband J.W.; brothers, Darrell “Dobber” Sims and wife Dora, Billy Joe Sims, and Stanley Sims and wife Margaret; along with several special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Rex McMurray officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Gardner’s Chapel Cemetery with Jamie Tipton, Matthew Mullins, Cody Peters, Jeff Hartsock, Brad Jackson, and Brian Sims serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are sked to meet at the funeral home by 1pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
