Obituary of Bonnie E. (Collins) Harris

Bonnie E. (Collins) Harris, 104, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

She was born on December 17, 1917 in Virginia City, VA, a daughter of the late James D. and Emily (Beaver) Collins. She enjoyed gardening, canning and her flowers. Bonnie’s hobbies included knitting and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Harris; son, Jimmy Harris; brothers, Blanard, Willie, Hughie, Ralph, and Carl Gene Collins; sisters, Lucille Peters and Goldie Horne.

Surviving are her brother, James Ed Collins; sister, Virginia Lambert; daughter, Patty Harris; grandchildren, Melissa Ledbetter and Stephanie Page; great-grandchildren, Tyler Page and Brandon Ledbetter; special nieces, Phyllis Bellamy and Diane Frates; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be from 12 pm to 2 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Scott County Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Layton Bentley officiating.

Burial will follow the service in Holston View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
