Obituary of Sandra Lynne Dillard

Sandra Lynne Dillard, age 76, met Jesus face to face on Thursday, October 5^th 2023, after battling a long illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.  She was a UT sports fan, especially UT women’s sports.  She enjoyed watching game shows and old westerns.  She liked to be outside and feel the warm sun on her face.  Most of all she loved Jesus and her family.  Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.  Anyone that met her loved her.  

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald J. Dillard; her parents, Brumley and Ruby Morgan; sisters, Sue Kenyon and Kathy Morgan; brother, Donald Morgan; and great-grandchildren angel babies, Leeland and Fitz Dillard.

Surviving are her daughter, Penney (Tim) Davis; son, “Buddy” (Tonia) Dillard; daughter, Misty (Richard) Lyons; grandchildren, Ashlynn (David) Gillenwater, Amanda Davis Jackson, Zachary (Katie) Dillard, Austin (Mandy) Dillard, Noah (Brittany) Dillard, Allen Lyons and Sam Lyons; great-grandchildren, Jackson Trent, Maylee Gillenwater, Ella Gillenwater, Isaiah Jackson, June Dillard, Daisy Dillard, Kyler Gillenwater, Hardin Tapp, and Lucy Dillard; sister, Teresa (Danny) Carter; and very special sister-in-law, Marie (Don) Morgan; very special friends, Patsy Dykes and Troy and Mary Gatlin; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 12: 00 pm - 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 21^st 2023, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Bro. Wallace Berry officiating.
