Obituary of Fielding Ashbia Isaacs

Fielding “Bud” Ashbia Isaacs, 77 of Nickelsville, passed the morning of October 16, 2023.  In 1970, he married his soulmate and they started a family.  After spending several years in Ohio, California, North Carolina, and Tennessee, he and his wife returned to their hometown to raise their family.  Bud was always a devoted father and husband and strived to give his family the life he imagined for them.

Bud was an avid history buff and enjoyed visiting historical sites.  He loved music and taught himself to play guitar; most days you could hear him strumming away in his free time.  He had a quick wit and was always ready to make a joke.  Ultimately, his favorite thing was time spent with his family.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Cleta Stansberry Isaacs, parents Fielding and Rena Vae Tyree Isaacs, brothers Lowell Isaacs, Larry Johnson, and Joe Isaacs.

He is survived by his daughter Cecilia Isaacs and Jeff Kiser, son Fielding “Buddy” Isaacs Jr. and wife Rachael, son Christopher Isaacs and wife Amy, daughter Sylvia Isaacs and Josh Conner, grandsons Payton Isaacs, Jerry Hall, and Jackson Isaacs, granddaughter Bailey Isaacs, brother Richard Johnson and wife Carlene, sister Dorothy Moore and husband Bob, and sister Judy Davis.

No formal services are planned at this time.

Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
