Obituary of Leon Hickman

Leon Hickman, 60 of Surgoinsville passed away on October 25, 2014 at his home. Leon was co-owner of Surgoinsville Gas and Diesel and had a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health. He liked making his own tools and doing his many crafts, was an avid gun collector, where he made several of his guns by hand, he collected swords and held a black belt degree in Karate. Leon was a kind and gentle man who loved everyone. A man of many talents. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Hickman Survivors include his son, Jason Hickman & wife Natasha; a daughter, Adria Hickman & partner Curt Condry; sister, Rita Hipshire & husband David; three grandchildren, McKenzie Hickman, Caleb Hickman and Emily Condry; a niece, Kasey Hipshire and nephew, Rob "Half-pint" Hickman. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy 23N, Church Hill, TN. Graveside services will follow at 1 pm at Carters Valley Cemetery, Surgoinsville, TN conducted by Rev. J.E. Mauk. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Hickman family.
