Obituary of Bernice Cox

Bernice Cox - Kingsport - Ocia Bernice Dalton Cox, 86, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday October 24, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Bernice had a long career in nursing beginning at Holston Valley Medical Center and retiring from Indian Path Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Henry Dalton, Sr. and Leona Morris Dalton; two brothers, Jack Dalton and Daniel Dalton, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Hatcher; son, Shannon K. Cox; two grandsons, Joshua Hatcher and Jeremiah Hatcher; sisters, Terrisa Hall, Wanda Coffey; two brothers, Ronald K. Dalton and wife Etta and David Dalton; along with several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm with Rev. Will Shewey officiating on Monday October 27, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.cartertrent.com.
