Obituary of Dwight S. Taylor

Dwight S. Taylor, 54, of Church Hill went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his residence. He was born and raised in Kingsport and had lived in Church Hill for the past twenty years. Dwight served in the U. S. Army and attended Lewis Lane Central Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to a special friend, Sandy Kordenbrock. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Zina Bright; paternal grandparents, Thurman and Ollie Taylor and several aunts and uncles. Surviving are his parents, Stanley and Daisy Taylor, sister, Gwen Taylor; aunt, Effie Mullins and an uncle, Lee Bright and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport, TN. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kenny Hammond officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Booher's Chapel Cemetery, Bristol, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Dwight Taylor.
