Obituary of Donald Clarence Rentz

Donald Clarence Rentz, 62, of Beaufort, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Knoxville, TN, with his family by his side. He worked for the state of South Carolina for 39 years. He was a very loving son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee R. Rentz, Sr. and Helen Louise Carpenter Rentz; and brother, Johnny Steven Rentz. Donnie leaves to cherish his memories, 2 brothers, Lee R. (Skip) Rentz, Jr. and wife, Mildred of Hinesville, GA, twin brother, Ronald D. Rentz, Sr. and wife, Karen of Knoxville, TN; nephews, Lee Rentz, III of Pensacola, FL, Daniel Rentz of Kingsport, TN, Josh Rentz of Knoxville, TN, Matthew Rentz of Knoxville, TN, and Leroy R. Marks of Inverness, FL; nieces, Cathy Rentz Smith of Gray, SC, Crista Rentz of Orange Park, FL, and Samantha Hope Rentz of Knoxville, TN; great-nephews, Michael Steen of Pensacola, FL, Tyler Rentz of Hinesville, GA, Logan Rentz of Orange Park, FL, Nathaniel Rentz of Knoxville, TN, Christopher Marks of Inverness, FL, and Christopher Cook of Gray, SC; great-nieces, Christina Lee of Tampa, FL, Samantha Steen of Birmingham, AL, Alexis Rentz of Orange Park, FL, Ashley Marks of Inverness, FL, Katlyn Marks of Inverness, FL, Jordan Hunnicutt of Gray, SC, and Sydney Butler of Gray, SC; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a "Celebration of Life" service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport, TN. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Jim and Sherry Byrd, 1520 Independence Ave. in Mount Carmel, TN. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is honored to serve the Rentz family.
