Obituary of Teresa Paulette Standifer

Teresa Paulette Gilliam Standifer, 63, of Pennington Gap, VA passed away Tuesday (July 15th, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in the Rock Lick Community of Keokee, VA, she has lived in Lee County all her life. She graduated from Pennington High School and was of the Baptist faith. Although her health prevented her from working full time, she was a caregiver to many, both young and old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marcella Gilliam and her brother Gary Gilliam. She is survived by her children, Grayson Kiser and Angela Hope Mullins Boldon; two grandchildren, Dalton Boldon and Corey Kiser; two brothers, Ronnie Gilliam and Roger Darrell Gilliam; stepbrother, Bruce Catron; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 till 2pm Thursday (July 17th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow with Rev. Chuck Grimm and Rev. Norman Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilliam Cemetery in the Fairview community. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Standifer family.
