Obituary of Harold K Shibler

Harold K. Shibler, 91, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord Monday evening, June 30, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center after a short illness. He was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, was a former resident of Massillon, Ohio and had been a resident of Kingsport for the past four years. Mr. Shibler retired from Republic Steel as a steel worker. He was a Christian and loved the Lord. He was a big fan of baseball and loved the Cleveland Indians. Mr. Shibler and his wife, Louise worked at the Cleveland Indians Stadium and at the Football Hall of Fame Stadium. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Davenport Shibler; parents, Raymond and Elma Baker Shibler and a brother, Richard Shibler. Surviving are his daughter, Carol Davis of Florida; three grandchildren; brother, Paul Shibler of Navarre, Ohio; special niece, Nancy Oaks of Kingsport; special nephew Doug Oaks of Church Hill; several other nieces and nephews and several friends from Ohio. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Preacher David Lane officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Harold K. Shibler.
