Obituary of Vivian M.Price Davis

Vivian M. Price Davis, 89 of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was born June 13, 1925 in Christiansburg, VA. Vivian was a wonderful Godly woman and a blessing to all who met her. She was a kind and gentle soul who made the world a brighter and better place. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. Price and Anna May Janney Price; her beloved husband, Rev. Harold L. Davis; her brother, Robert B. Price; her sister, Doloris Price Smith, She is survived by her sister, Glenna Ann Watson of Rusk, TX; her sister-in-law, Glenna Price of Kingsport; along with several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Asbury at Steadman Hill and Baysmont for the loving and compassionate care they provided for Vivian during her long struggle with Alzheimer's disease, also a special thank you to Sandra, Tammy, Barbara and Cindy at Steadman Hill and to Brooke at Baysmont Skilled Nursing. The family would also like to thank Vivian's niece, Julie Short, who took special care of Vivian and worked diligently to ensure that Vivian always received the quality care she deserved. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association 207 N. Boone Street, Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN or to Asbury Place at Steadman Hill, 1300 Bloomingdale Pike, Kingsport, TN 37660 to assist in the dementia unit. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Davis family.
