Obituary of Clifton Aaron Bise

Canton, GA - Clifton A. Bise, Sr., 99 of Canton, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Heritage Nursing Home in Jasper, GA following a long illness. Born in Leck, VA, Clifton had lived several years in Kingsport before moving to Canton 20 years ago. He retired from Mead Corp following 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lea Audrey Bradley Bise; his children, Bobby, Jerry and twin daughters, Ella Gay and Nella Kay; his grandson, Wesley; his parents, Robert and Sarah Yates Bise; brothers, Garcie and Millard; sister, Mary Campbell; half-brothers, Cown and Alfred Rose; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bise. Clifton is survived by his sons, Herman L. Bise and wife Barbara of Mt Carmel and Clifton A. Bise, Jr. and wife Shirley of Canton, GA; brother, Wilford Bise and wife Wanda of Hampton, TN; granddaughters, Robin, Vicky, Pam, Connie and Julie; grandsons, Bobby and Brian; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill, TN. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tommy Benton officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, a local food bank or the charity of one's choice. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Bise family.
