Obituary of James David Fields

James David Fields, 56 of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Church Hill following a long illness. Born Rogersville, James had lived most of his life in Maryland before moving back to Rogersville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from the heating and cooling business. James was survived by his wife, Deveris Rawlings Fields; children, Devant'e Brown, Rashaud Brown and Tierra Turnage; father, James Fields and wife Etta; mother, Martha McCall; in-laws, James and Annie Thompson; sisters, Carolyn Barton, Wilma Williams, Liz Beard, Debra Brown and Theresa Hodges; brothers, Danny Fields and Jerry Fields; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. James request was to be cremated and buried at Mtn. Home National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Persia Baptist Church, 141 Old Highway 66, Rogersville, TN 37857.
