Obituary of Martha Myrtle Dalton

Martha Myrtle Dalton, 73 , of Kingsport went to be with the Lord (Wednesday February 5, 2014) at her home. She was retired from Holston Valley Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Thomas "Marty" Dalton; brothers, Rev. Joseph Peters and wife Janice and Jackson Peters; several nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Her caretakers and friends were Judy McClain, Nancy Kilgore and Ruby Quillen. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Friday at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11am with her brother, Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Peters Cemetery, Hiltons,Va. Pallbearers will be Fred Brooks, Darren Peters, Bobby Hensley, Jim Jones, Lynn Combs and Jeremy Combs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help toward funeral expenses.
