Obituary of Nancy Stewart
Nancy (Janie) Mann Stewart, 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was from Ft. Blackmore, Virginia and has lived most of her life in Kingsport. She retired from Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a loving mother who cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. She attended Morrison City Missions until her illness prevented her from attending.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter and Sarah Lane Mann, two brothers Elmer Mann and Claude Mann, four sisters Mary Mann Cowden, Martha Mann Pendleton, Pauline Mann and Annie Ruth Mann, son-in-law, Eckel Head.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Head and Cathy Wexler and husband Wayne, grandchildren, Sherry Maultbay, Chris Wexler, Tina Porter and husband Keith, Lisa Sluss and husband Michael, special sister-in-law Nannie Mann, great grandchildren, Brandon Maultbay, Brandon Nave, Ryan Lawson, Chelsea Wexler, Haley Maultbay and Taylor Sluss, great great granddaughter Chloe Maultbay and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Hill, Rev. Allen Hensley, Rev. James Mann officiating. Music will be provided by Willow Chapel Singers and Patsy Hensley.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Chelsea Wexler, Haley Maultbay, Chris Wexler, Chris Smith, Brandon Maultbay, Brandon Nave, Ryan Lawson, Michael Sluss and Keven Collings.
Special thanks to staff at Brookhaven Manor, Dr. Keith Porter, Dr. Joel Gonce, Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center Physicians, Nurses and Hospice and Kevin Collings, special friend for his care and concern of our mother.
