Obituary of Margaret Starnes Osborne

Margaret Starnes Osborne, 84, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday night November 5, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. She loved to spend time outdoors working in the yard and especially love to spend time with her family. She was a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe J. Osborne; son, Jack Dennis Osborne; parents, Grover and Myrtle Carver Starnes; son in law, Eddie Moore; sister, Mildred Carver Boyd; three brothers, Oley Starnes, Hobart Starnes and James Starnes. She is survived by her children, Connie Moore, Gale Osborne and wife Dolores and Mark Osborne and wife Cindy, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Carrie Chan and husband Chiteng, West Moore and wife Toma, Maggie Osborne, Jesse Osborne, Casey Osborne, Mollie Osborne and Leah Osborne; great grandchildren, Montel Chan, Zoie Chan, Soloman Chan, Elyza Chan, Preston Moore, Weston Moore, Caeden Moore and Greyson Osborne; one sister, Hazel McConnell of Kingsport; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Lynn Garden Baptist Church, 301 May Avenue, Kingsport, or anytime at the residence of her son, Gale Osborne, 940 Union Street, Kingport. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating and Pastor John Coates assisting. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:55 pm.
