Obituary of Mable Hensley

Mable "Peggy" Hensley, 81, of Hilton, Virginia, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing Home. A native of Scott County, she has lived in the Hilton community all of her life. She worked for several years at the Kingsport Press. Peggy had a great love for her "critters". From the cows, chickens, deer or even a baby bird, she made sure they were took care of. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lula Vineyard Hensley. She is survived by her brother, J.C. "Buck" Hensley; several cousins; caregivers, Rick Barger and wife Linda and Randy Moore. A graveside service will be conducted at 3pm Sunday at Hermon UMC Cemetery with Rev. Joe Barber officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery fund 305 Hedge Dr. Kingsport, TN 37660.
