Obituary of Cecil Ford

Surgoinsville - Cecil Ford, 69 of Surgoinsville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Sumrall, MS, Cecil had lived in the Tri-City area since 1993 and was owner of Ford's Business Forms in Kingsport. Cecil was a member and deacon of Phipps FWB Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mary Jane Autman Ford. Cecil is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kay Murphy Ford; daughter, Donna Bell and husband David; son, Darrin Ford and wife Terri; grandchildren, Daiden Bell, Greg Bell and Jadwin Ford; great-grandchildren, Emma Ford, Erik Ford and Elijah Ford; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Castle and Pastor George Winegar officiating. Music will be provided by Naomi Mowell. Burial will follow in Eastern Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Deacons of Phipps Bend FWB Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Ford family.
