Obituary of Michael J. Crowe

Michael J. Crowe, 66, passed away on Friday (May 10, 2013) at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home (Johnson City), TN after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. Mike worked as a proud professional firefighter for many years in his native town of Norwood, OH and later in St. Pete, FL. He was also a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country. He was a loving son, husband father and grandfather (known as Opah to his 2 special granddaughters) and he will be deeply missed by his family and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Crowe of Cincinnati, OH. He is survived by his mother, Glenna Crowe of Cincinnati, OH; his loving wife of 40 years, Abbie Crowe; son, Joseph Crowe; daughter, Michelle Henriott and husband, Marcus; granddaughters, Amelia and Madeline; brother, Pat Crowe and wife Debbie, and Danny Crowe; sisters, Terry Kapp and husband Rick and Judy Crowe. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Carolyn Atwood of Cincinnati, OH officiating. Burial will be private for family only. The family extends extreme gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the VA Medical Center and staff for the loving care and dedication to help Mike during his illness, treatment and passing. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Crowe family.
