Obituary of Shirley Sue Adams

Shirley Sue Adams, 79, of Kingsport, entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Spartanburg, SC but spent most of her life in Kingsport. The past year and half she has lived at Madison House surrounded by a wonderful staff, and residents, whom she loved dearly. She was a member of Calvary Lighthouse Baptist Church. She loved to do embroidery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Eugene Adams; father and mother, Arlie and Ruby Reece; two brothers, Glenn and Roger Conner. She is survived by three children Kathy McCracken and husband Nelson, Ronald Adams and wife Connie, and Charles Adams; seven grandchildren; sister, Judy Keefauver. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Saturday November 22, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randall Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, garden of Resurrection, Kingsport, TN. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Adams family.
