Obituary of Harold Frasier

Weber City - Hobert Harold Frasier, 86 of Weber City, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a long illness. Harold was a life-long resident of Scott County and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a Disabled American Veteran. Harold was a self-employed electrician and enjoyed farming his entire life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adela Castle Frasier; his parents, Hobert and Vivian Frazier; sister, JoAnn Vicars; son-in-law, Dr. Richard Compton, III. Harold is survived by his daughter, Linda Compton of Johnson City; son, Gary Frasier and wife Sherry of Kingsport; granddaughter, Sarah Compton; grandsons, Nathan Frasier, Lee Gillenwater and Brandon Gillenwater; brother, Billy Jack Frasier and wife Norma of Weber City; several nieces; nephews and cousins; 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Barber officiating. Music will be provided by granddaughter, Sarah Compton. A military graveside service will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Mtn. Home National Cemetery with the American Legion Post 3/265 conducting the rites. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:40 a.m. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City is serving the Frasier family.
