Obituary of Cleo Helton

Cleo Helton, 74 of Kingsport went to be with her Lord on Saturday (June 28, 2014) at Indian Path Medical Center. She was a born again Christian and an active member of Summersville Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending. She was a loving daughter, sister and sister-in-law. She loved people, was a very kind and compassionate person and loved her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Nellie Burton Helton. Survivors include her loving sister, Kay Helton Wood & husband Harry; along with many uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will be in the chapel at 2 pm with Pastor Ron Bradshaw and Pastor Clarence Bear, officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Bill Sanders, Bill Ball, Brent Riggs, Freddie Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Helton, Claude Helton, Michael Helton, Dennis Helton, Roger Helton, Steve Helton.
