Obituary of Buck Hensley

J.C. "Buck" Hensley, 84, of Hiltons, passed away (Wednesday June 11, 2014) at Indian Path Medical Center. He retired from Kingsport Press following many years of service. He worked on the family farm all of his life as well. A lifelong resident of Hiltons, Buck was a "go-to" for many people in the community, whether it was pulling someone from a ditch or fixing something. He had the knowledge, the means; but most importantly, the heart to help. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lula Vineyard Hensley; sister, Mable "Peggy" Hensley. He is survived by his caregivers, Rick Barger and wife Linda and Randy Moore; several cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 till 1pm Saturday (June 14th, 2014) at Hermon United Methodist Church. A service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Joe Barber officiating. Music will be provided by the True Faith Quartet. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Hensley family.
