Obituary of Ava Marie Wagers

Kingsport- Ava Marie Wagers, 7, of Kingsport, went to be with the Angels and in the loving arms of her grandfather, Otis Wagers, Sr. on Saturday (June 7, 2014). Ava just completed her first grade year at John Adams Elementary. She attended Gravely Baptist Church and proudly accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior just four weeks ago. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Daniel Henry Lane, Sr. and Corinne Lane; a grandfathter, Otis Wagers, Sr. and Tony Southers. Ava Wagers is survived by her mother, Anna Biggs; her father, Otis Wagers, Jr.; her brother, Daniel Sturgill; a sister, Madison Wagers; grandparents, Stanley "Poppa" Frady and Tammy Frady, Danny Biggs, and Barbra Wagers Lane; great grandparents, Mary and John Laughlin, Mary and Howard Biggs, Elizabeth Frady; her uncle, John Laughlin and wife Edna; aunts, Cookie Barrett, Amanda Wagers, Tracie Powers, and Elizabeth Ehrmantrout; a great uncle, Roger Laughlin along with several special cousins especially, Justice Barrett. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (June 11, 2014) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the residence of the grandmother, Barbara Lane, 205 Valley Street in Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (June 11, 2014) at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Gibson and Pastor David Salley, officiating. Music will be provided by The Moneyhun's. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Laughlin Family Cemetery with Stanley "Poppa" Frady, Otis Wagers, Jr., Shannon Jarrett, and John Laughlin serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses by sending them to P.O. Box 1129, Kingsport, TN 37660.
