Obituary of Dennis W. Gent

Dennis W. Gent Kingsport - Dennis W. Gent, 70, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 1, 2014 Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Kingsport and had lived in Kingsport all his life. Mr. Gent was a retired roofer. He was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church where he taught Vacation Bible School and drove the church van. He enjoyed reading his bible, going to church and going to singings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Freida Rhea Gent. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Gent of the home and a brother, Jackie T. Gent of West Palm Beach, Florida. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Dennis Gent family.
