My thoughts and prayers are with Wilma's family at this time. When I was a young woman I knew Wilma and looked at her as a kind and loving mother figure. After I moved away from the area Sissy let me know how Wilma was doing, and because she loved Wilma so much she never failed to ask me to keep her in my prayers.
I know her family realizes what an outstanding woman they had in their life and will miss her so very much. We will all take comfort in knowing she now has a perfect life in heaven.

Wilma was a good woman. I worked with her at J. P. Stevens for many years .She use to always tell me stories that cracked me up. She told me a story one time about driving to New York to see her daughter. The last time that I saw Wilma was at the nursing home. My grandmother was at the same nursing home and I went to see her one day and ran into Wilma out there. We sat and talked for a long time out on the patio. I'm so sorry for your loss and I really did love your mom. She was a good person.... Donna Phillips

A very special woman, like a mother to me. She loved God and her family, in that order.
She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. One of a kind, sweet, funny and loving Wilma. We will miss her so much. Rest assured she is safe in the arms of Jesus today. She was always so good to me and my family and we loved her so very much. I would spend the night with Wilma as a young girl every chance I got. She paid me to iron for her and always paid me double. She taught me to dance and to love music and she was always proud of any accomplishments I made in school and told me so. She encouraged me to ignore the things that went wrong in my life assuring me that they would pass and life would continue and never to forget that God was always with us.
One of her happiest moments was Deena's wedding in New York. It was a hard trip for her but to see the smile and happiness of her face was worth a million. She loved her granddaughter and always told me what she was doing and that she talked to her on the telephone. She loved going to church. Todd Lindamood would pick her up on Sundays at the nursing home and she looked forward to this. She always had some candy in her pockets for the children at church. Everyone that knew Wilma, loved her. I will miss you my sweet Wilma.
