Obituary of Freda Kay Charlton

Kingsport - Freda Kay Charlton, 54, of Kingsport passed away on Monday morning, February 24, 2014 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong residence of Kingsport. She truly loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Ronald Carr; brother-in-law, Eric Charlton and nephew, Nathaniel Carr. She was greatly loved and survived by her husband, Gary Charlton; mother, Hazel Marie Carr; brother, Jerry Carr and wife Pam and Steve Carr; mother and father in law, Pat and Roy Vaughn and Billy Charlton; brother in law, Barry Charlton and wife, Ellen; nieces, Julia Meeks and husband Ryan, Jessica Hazel and husband Kyle, Jeremy Carr and wife Chandra, Hannah Carr and Jennifer Housewright; 11 great nieces and great nephews; best friend, Desirae Simpson. Friends may call anytime at the residence from now until 5 pm Wednesday February 26, 2014. A Celebration of life service will be held at the residence at 5 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Charlton family.
